Contemporary Kitchen Design Bethesda MD
Signature Kitchens, Additions & Baths, a leading kitchen design contractor with a showroom serving Bethesda, MD, recently finished this outstanding contemporary kitchen design remodel in Bethesda. The first big gathering in the new kitchen took place at Thanksgiving, when 27 friends and relatives came to the Sailers’ home to enjoy a scrumptious meal together. “It was the first time we were able to get everybody in the kitchen together without everyone’s children sitting on the floor,” Caroline Sailer said. “We were absolutely thrilled.”
The new, contemporary kitchen design came after years of the Sailers trying to decide how and when to remodel their kitchen. They had interviewed several Bethesda kitchen design build contractors over a couple of years…but had put it aside, until last year when they decided to try again. The Sailers hired a well known Bethesda Maryland kitchen designer to show them kitchen concepts but they weren’t impressed with the result. “It looked fine,” Caroline said, “but my husband and I just weren’t as impressed as we thought we would be.”

After a little while the homeowners decided to try another kitchen design company popular in Bethesda, but again were unimpressed by the resulting designs. Carolyn said “It was not until we visited Signature Kitchens Additions & Baths, & their kitchen designer said that she would like to develop a kitchen concept for us to look at, that we thought about the kitchen again.” Ellyn, one of Signature’s kitchen designers, knew the Sailer’s though their children’s school. Ellyn was at first tentative about the how the Sailer’s would react to her more dramatic contemporary kitchen design approach. “It was such a radically different concept from what they had been looking at.” said Ellyn “I was not sure if they would be brave enough”

“We were absolutely thrilled,” Caroline said. “That design clinched it for us – even though we hadn’t known it before, it was absolutely what we wanted. It coalesced both my husband’s and my visions of what our new kitchen design could look like. It was perfect.”
The custom kitchen cabinets are made by a unique company on Tulsa Oklahoma called Jay Rambo. The company was acquired from its original owner by a kitchen designer named Ralph Lackner.
The Kitchen Remodeling Process
As for the kitchen remodeling process itself, “we felt very comfortable with everybody in the kitchen design showroom, its fun and friendly” Caroline said, “as well as the business relationship, Signature’s relationship with the suppliers, and their access to the quality design elements we knew we wanted.”
“We’re both out of the house most of the day, so I was uncertain about a construction crew coming in. But after meeting Elmer and his crew, I felt very comfortable, and throughout the process I was impressed with how responsible they were.”
